Management consulting is the practice of helping organizations to improve their performance. It is traditionally applied in two stages: analysing existing operational problems and subsequently developing plans for improvement. As both analysis outcomes and improvement capabilities differ per customer or even plant, the process is always bespoke.
Depending on prework done by the customer, typical analyses can take from a couple of days up to weeks. Subsequently developing, quantifying and validating improvement plans can take up to 3 weeks depending on complexity of operations.
From that moment onwards we can start putting strategy to action using proven methodologies like design for six sigma and/or lean six sigma.
